This group was organized as Four-State Fellowship of Christian Writers in 1981. In 2001 the name was changed to Christian Writers Fellowship.

The purpose of the group shall be:

• to fellowship with and to inspire other Christian writers
• to share ideas, enthusiasm, motivation, and experience
• to share news of markets, sources, and resources
• to critique and receive help in perfecting writing
• to study Christian writing
• to open ourselves to Gods leadership in our writing
• to profit from the experience of others
• to encourage beginning writers to complete articles and submit them to publishers.
